What is our cancellation policy?

Need to cancel inside the cancellation policy? Is it possible to avoid the cancellation fee? 

  • Travel Insurance 
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to safeguard your financial investment. This coverage is essential should unexpected events necessitate a change or cancellation of your plans. We facilitate the purchase of Trip Interruption Insurance through Red Sky Travel. The premium for this insurance is 7.75% of your total trip cost. Please note that any claim submitted to Red Sky for compensation requires your reason for cancellation to be a qualifying event explicitly covered under the Red Sky Plan. 


  • Flexible Options to Prevent Cancellation 
We aim to provide flexibility when your travel plans change. You may have the following options when booking directly with Carolina Coastline Realty: 


    • Date Changes: You are permitted to reschedule your stay within the same rental property, provided the new dates are available, and within 60 days of the original dates booked. For reschedules to be accepted the deposits for the existing reservation must be paid in full and guest must accept that upon rescheduling the dates any deposits paid will be non-refundable. Please be aware that guests must cover any difference in the rental rate between the original and revised dates. 
    • Refunds After Rebooking: If you must cancel, any refund of rent payments is contingent upon the cancelled period being successfully re-rented and confirmed by a new tenant. If the property is re-rented for the same rate as your original lease, we will refund all monies paid, minus a $100 cancellation fee (if applicable). If the property is re-rented at a lower rate or for a shorter duration, your refund will be limited to the lower rental amount collected, as the property owner is entitled to the full amount of the original lease. Our Agent will actively work to re-rent the property at the full original rate. 
    • Important: 
      • Rescheduling your reservation for alternate dates to avoid a cancellation fee or refunds of the cancellation fee if another guest rebooks the original dates cancelled is not applicable when booked via online third party travel agents, i.e. Vrbo, Airbnb. 
      • Trip insurance is non-refundable. 
      • For leases of two weeks or more, the full balance is due before check-in, even if the entire period was not re-rented. We are ready to assist you in making this process smooth.

What is our payment and deposit policy? 

  • Reservations made more than 30 days from the arrival date 
    • 50% of payment for deposit due at time of booking 
    • 50% of payment for reaminder of deposit due 30 days prior to arrival date 
  • Reservations made inside of 30 days from the arrival date 
    • Full payment for deposity due at time of booking


Do we offer travel insurance?


  • Carolina Coastline Realty offers our guests access to Trip Preserver® coverage through our partnership with Red Sky Travel Insurance. This plan offers protection, emergency assistance, and travel services for events like hurricane evacuations, family illness, or death.
  • While travel insurance is optional for all bookings, we highly recommend it.
  • The insurance cost is 7.75% of your total reservation expense and is not subject to tax.
  • If you choose to purchase the insurance, the full cost is due either at the time of booking or when the coverage is added to your reservation.
  • 10-Day Review Period: Guests have a 10-day period after enrolling to remove travel insurance. 
    • To remove the insurance, you must contact our office in writing within this period. We will then reduce your final balance or issue an applicable refund.
  • Adding Later: If you initially decline coverage, you may add it later, provided the purchase is made at least 30 days prior to arrival OR before the final balance payment is processed.
  • Claims and Questions: All guests must contact Red Sky directly for specific inquiries about coverage or to file a claim. You may submit a claim by visiting the designated Red Sky claim page.

What is our age policy for guests?

  • The minimum age to book a property managed by Carolina Coastline Realty is 25 years of age.


What if the number of guests exceeds the maximum occupancy of guests that a property permits?

  • Each rental unit has a strict maximum occupancy limit (details are provided on the specific property page). The total number of guests on the premises at any time must not exceed this assigned maximum. 
  • Violation and Consequences: Exceeding the maximum occupancy without authorization constitutes a serious breach of the rental contract and will trigger the following actions: 
    • A penalty fee will be assessed and immediately charged to the guest. 
    • If the fee remains unpaid and the additional, unauthorized guests do not immediately leave the property, eviction will result with no refund of any rents or fees paid.


Are there additional fees other than the advertised rate?

  • No. Our quoted rates are all-inclusive, covering the rent, linens, and departure cleaning service.
  • Please note that a mandatory tax of 13% (7% State Tax and 6% Lodging Tax) is applied to all reservations.
  • We advise guests to book directly through Carolina Coastline Realty (CCR) rather than using third-party platforms like VRBO or Airbnb. Booking directly allows you to avoid the service fees these sites charge, which are paid by the guest and are not refundable by CCR.
  • Optional Services Available:
    • Pet Fee: Varies per property and per pet, where pets are permitted (please review specific pet restrictions).
    • Early Check-in / Late Check-out: $200 each (subject to availability and restrictions).
    • Extra Linens: Cost varies based on the property and the specific request.
    • Travel Insurance: 7.75% of the total reservation cost (this percentage is calculated on the total, including all optional fees).


Is there a minimum night requirement?

  • Yes, all properties managed by Carolina Coastline Realty (CCR) have minimum stay requirements. 
    • Off-Season: A minimum stay of at least two nights is required, though some specific properties mandate a three-night minimum. 
    • Peak Season (June through August): Most properties require a seven-night minimum stay during this period.
